How is CRAFTHQ different from using ChatGPT or other AI tools?

CRAFTHQ is not a generic resume generator. It does not try to produce a perfectly “matched” resume regardless of whether you are actually a strong fit for a role.

Instead, it is built around a structured job application workflow. It helps you analyze a role, assess your fit, choose the right resume variant, tailor your resume from your own template, and track the application in one place.

Unlike a general AI tool, CRAFTHQ stays grounded in your actual materials and preserves your document structure. The goal is not to invent experience, but to help you present your real background more clearly and strategically.

Who is CRAFTHQ best suited for?

CRAFTHQ is best suited for job seekers who want a more deliberate, structured end-to-end application process, especially those applying to competitive roles where fit, positioning, and resume quality matter.

It is particularly useful if you maintain more than one resume version, tailor applications selectively, or want more structure than a spreadsheet combined with ad hoc prompting.

Is CRAFTHQ right for everyone?

CRAFTHQ is designed for structured, deliberate job applications. It may not be the best fit if you are looking for a tool that generates a full resume from scratch, applies one-click auto-customization, or focuses primarily on visual resume templates.

Instead, CRAFTHQ works with your existing materials and helps you assess fit, choose the right version of your resume, and improve how you position your experience for a specific role.

What kind of results can I expect?

CRAFTHQ helps you decide whether a role is worth pursuing, identify what to emphasize, choose a stronger starting point, and produce a more targeted final application.

It will not guarantee interviews or replace judgment. The value is in helping you apply more strategically, with clearer positioning and a more organized workflow.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. CRAFTHQ offers a free trial so you can experience the workflow before committing to a paid plan. To start your trial, choose the Basic plan. The trial includes two complete end-to-end job applications within the first three days after activation.

Do I need to upload a resume template?

Yes. CRAFTHQ works from your own resume template or templates. That keeps the output grounded in your actual experience and preserves your formatting, instead of starting from a generic generated resume.

Can I use more than one resume template?

Yes. Many job seekers keep multiple resume variants, for example for leadership roles, individual contributor roles, or different industries.

CRAFTHQ considers all uploaded templates when assessing fit and can recommend the strongest starting point for a specific role.

What file formats are supported for resume templates?

Resume templates are uploaded as .docx files. CRAFTHQ uses your document as the basis for resume customization so that your existing structure and formatting remain the starting point.

I installed the app. What now?

After installing the app, you’ll first create an account. CRAFTHQ will guide you through this in your browser.

Next, choose a subscription plan. The Basic plan includes a free trial (two end-to-end job runs within the first three days).

Then upload at least one resume template. From there, you can paste a job posting into the Job Assistant, review the fit assessment, choose the recommended template, and work through customization and final review.

Where does CRAFTHQ store my applications?

CRAFTHQ stores your applications locally on your machine. By default, it creates a CRAFTHQ folder inside your user directory.

For each job, it creates a folder for the company and a subfolder for the role. A copy of your selected resume template is placed there as the starting point for editing.

You can open these files directly from your file system or via the “Open Application File” action in CRAFTHQ. The root folder location can be changed in Settings.

What happens to my jobs and recommendations if I cancel my subscription?

Your processed jobs, fit assessments, customization recommendations, and job tracker history remain stored locally on your device.

That means you can continue to access all jobs even after your subscription ends. Subscription status affects access to active features and processing, but it does not remove the job data already stored in your local CRAFTHQ workspace.

How is my data handled?

How do I update or cancel my subscription?

You can manage both your account and subscription from within the app.

In the Account menu:
• Manage Account lets you update account details such as your password.
• Manage Subscription lets you change or cancel your plan at any time.
